Marcia Raymond is an experienced civil litigation attorney who joined Becherer Kannett & Schweitzer as an associate in 2004. Marcia specializes in the defense of companies in complex toxic tort, product liability and premises liability litigation. She has expertise in all aspects of case development, file management and trial preparation.

Prior to joining Becherer Kannett & Schweitzer, Marcia worked as an associate at the law firms of Rudloff Wood & Barrows LLP and Archer Norris, PLC. At both firms she honed her litigation expertise, successfully representing insurance companies, healthcare providers, financial institutions and other business entities in the areas of bad faith, insurance coverage, premises liability, construction defect, toxic tort, product liability and healthcare professionals liability.

During law school, Marcia completed an externship with the staff attorney’s office for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. While there, she conducted legal research and analysis, prepared bench memoranda, and recommended disposition of habeas corpus, civil rights, employment and criminal law cases to three-judge appellate panels.

While in law school, she also interned at the Santa Clara District Attorney’s Office, the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, prosecuting misdemeanor offenses and working with trial teams on felony criminal matters.
